Exercise & Fitness Every year we learn about the benefits of staying physically active. Through the work of scientists, health care professionals, and volunteers extensive research has increased our knowledge of the benefits of exercise and the aging process and how we can maintain our independence. Participating in regular exercise is vital to staying strong and vital during older adulthood. This will help prevent osteoporosis and frailty by stimulating growth of muscle and bone. The feeling of being physically strong promotes mental and emotional health. Strength training is very easy to learn and proven to be safe and effective. |
